Here is a sample of what you'll get

Marrowless, sun scorched bones line the barren valley. The smell of death permeates the desert air. The peculiar Prophet finds himself in the midst of bleached carcasses and lost hope. Ezekiel shuffles along the valley floor scanning the piles of dry bones. He stops in his tracks as a mighty voice booms from the heavens.

"Son of man, can these bones live?" I said, "Sovereign Lord, you alone know." Then he said to me, "Prophesy to these bones and say to them, 'Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.'" (Ezekiel 373-6, NIV)

Living in the valley of dry bones is about as bleak of a picture as you can get. It is home to lost causes. The place where hope goes to die and the world turns its back. It is ugly. Hard. Broken. Stifling. But God specializes in lost causes. The more bleak the potential outcome, the more obvious it is who did it. Man takes credit for God's accomplishments but there are times when even atheists shake their heads in astonishment. God is glorified when dry bones rattle to new life.

You may have dry bones sitting in the back of your closet. They're tucked away in a place where no one will ever know. But God does. He sees the ashen residue that litters the floor of your life and He comes with new life. The collective dust of sin and its consequences stifles your spiritual life but He comes with new life. He did it in the life of a nation and He will do it for you.

If One Should Fall Behind George Knoechel Books

I liked the description of how the shepherd continuously looks after his sheep. If one should stray off the shepherd seeks the sheep until he is found. Not to punish the sheep but with rejoicing that the sheep is back into the fold. The love of God and his willingness to forgive is seen throughout this entire book. A real good reminder of God's love for us.

If One Should Fall Behind George Knoechel Books Reviews

What a great read! It had such a beautiful story line taking place during the time of the flood. It truly gave me an extra push of faith that I needed from a story; something to push me and think "this is why I believe in God."
Author George Knoechel does not disappoint; the way he connects with the reader truly shows why this book is acclaimed by so many. If you like Max Lucado novels, you will absolutely love If One Should Fall Behind. Some of Knoechel's writing is so touching, I think one of my favorites that will stick with me was

I would suggest (and already have suggested!) this book to anyone 14+, anyone looking to renew their faith in the One above, or perhaps a family that wants to sit down and read a powerful story together. The options are endless. Thank you for a great story that I will always remember.
I do not enjoy having biblical quotations shoved down my throat while trying to relax & escape into a world of fantasy & total "wind down"!
If I want this I can easily read a bible!

I was glad this book was free on kindle so I didn't waste my money. Boring and did not hold my attention in the least.
Sometimes we lose our way along the journey and it can seem like such a long climb back. This book helps remind us of the basics that we all know, but sometimes need a gentle reminder.
I loved it all but chapter 5 really hit me.

"It was supposed to take days. It took years. Forty dust filled, difficult years. With
sundried skin and chaffed lips, the sea of freed slaves trudged along a circuitous trail
of sorrows. It didn't have to be like this."

This book is very well written and often bought me to tears. I was reminded of God's love over and over again. There are a number of quotes I could post here but you're better off seeing for yourself. Great book.
I read the entire book in less than 24 hours. I could not put it down. I shed more tears than I have in quite a while as I was reminded of God's love for me. I liked the opening but it only got better as the book moved along. I love the personal anecdotes and the way the author writes in such a conversational manner. This book is highly recommended for the new believer up to the theologian. Get your hands on this book, you will not be disappointed.
George's words never fail to inspire me. Wherever I am on my spiritual journey - high or low, succeeding or failing - I am always encouraged by the simple yet profound impact this little book has had on me. Reading through it several times, I am always uncovering new insights and details that help me along life's way. I am ever grateful for his personal, powerful, and uplifting message of the Rebel, the Runner, and the Resigned. Pick up this book. It will be sure to help you along in your own journey. Keep writing, George! I can't wait for your next book to come out!
